Data Compliance

Data compliance is the formal governance structure in place for data protection, security, storage, and any other activities to ensure an organization complies with laws, regulations, and standards around its data. This includes all policies, procedures and protocols ensuring that a company’s data is fully protected from unauthorized access and use, malware, and other cybersecurity threats. The regulations and standards determine what data needs to be protected and the most suitable processes for doing so.

Non-compliance with data regulations can result in severe financial penalties, damage to reputation, and legal repercussions. Therefore, data compliance is a crucial aspect of modern business operations, requiring ongoing effort, resources, and attention to evolving regulatory landscapes.
