Exploits & Vulnerabilities
Exploits and vulnerabilities are two terms to describe common cyber risks.
Basically, a vulnerability is a bug of a piece of software: a mistake that happened while building it. Not all bugs are necessarily harmful, however, many of them can be taken advantage of by actors with malicious intents. These are classified as vulnerabilities.
An exploit is then the tool used to take advantage of a vulnerability. This can be a piece of software, sequences of commands or codes.
