Incident Response

The processes and technologies a company uses for detection of and reaction to cyberthreats, security issues or cyberattacks is called incident response. It is a structured approach that organizations take to manage and mitigate the impact of security incidents and data breaches. These processes and technologies are structured and collected in a formal incident response plan. It should contain the different types of cyber threats and how to identify, prevent and solve them. The goal of incident response is to minimize the risk of a cyberattack in first place. In case a cyberattack happens anyway, the indecent response plan helps minimize the resulting costs and downtime.
