Malware, the short form of “malicious software”, is any software or computer program that should harm a computer system or its users. Malware is a part of almost every modern cyberattack. There various types of malware, ranging from only annoying adware to highly damaging and costly ransomware that can even destroy businesses. The type of used malware always depends on the goal the attacker wants to achieve.
