Ransomware as a Service

Ransomware is a type of malware that steals or encrypts valuable data on the target device to demand a ransom payment to recover the data.

Ransomware as a service (RaaS) is a malicious version of the SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) model. RaaS is a business model that involves selling or renting ransomware to customers. The software is usually offered on the Darknet and can be accessed online on a subscription basis. That enables anyone to do ransomware attacks without having to develop the software on their own.
